Terms & Conditions

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before booking any tour or safari with Beryx Travel & Tours. By making a booking, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. About Us

Beryx Travel & Tours is a Tanzania-registered safari operator based in Arusha, Tanzania. We organise safaris, trekking expeditions, beach holidays, and cultural tours across East Africa.

2. Bookings & Reservations

All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by Beryx Travel & Tours. A booking is confirmed when you receive a written confirmation email and the required deposit has been received and cleared.

3. Pricing

• All prices are quoted in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated
• Prices are subject to change without notice until a booking is confirmed in writing
• Confirmed bookings are protected from price increases
• Prices do not include international airfares, visa fees, travel insurance, or items of a personal nature unless explicitly stated

4. Payment Terms

• Deposit: 30% of the total tour cost is required to confirm your booking
• Balance: The remaining 70% is due 60 days before the tour start date
• Late bookings: Bookings made within 60 days of departure require full payment at time of booking

5. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made in writing to info@beryxtravel.com. The following charges apply:

• 90+ days before departure: Deposit retained, no additional charges
• 60–89 days before departure: 50% of total tour cost
• 30–59 days before departure: 75% of total tour cost
• Under 30 days before departure: 100% of total tour cost

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that covers cancellation.

6. Amendments

Any amendments to a confirmed booking are subject to availability and may incur additional charges. Requests must be made in writing.

7. Travel Documents & Visas

Guests are responsible for obtaining all required travel documents including a valid passport (minimum 6 months validity beyond travel dates), Tanzania tourist visa, yellow fever vaccination certificate, and any other vaccinations or health requirements for your itinerary.

8. Health & Fitness

Some activities (particularly Kilimanjaro trekking and Mount Meru) require a reasonable level of physical fitness. Please disclose any medical conditions at the time of booking.

9. Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all Beryx Travel & Tours guests. Insurance must cover medical emergency and evacuation, trip cancellation, baggage, and high-altitude trekking (for Kilimanjaro/Meru guests).

10. Liability

Beryx Travel & Tours acts as agent for service providers. We are not liable for acts of God, natural disasters, events beyond our control, or services provided by third-party operators, hotels, or airlines.

11. Wildlife & Nature

Safari activities involve wild animals in their natural habitat. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed. Guests must follow all guide instructions at all times for safety.

12. Conduct

Guests are expected to respect local culture, wildlife, and the environment. We reserve the right to remove any guest from a tour without refund if their conduct is deemed dangerous, disrespectful, or disruptive.

13. Complaints

Any complaints should be raised with your guide during the tour. Written complaints should be submitted within 30 days of your return date to info@beryxtravel.com.

14. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Tanzania. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Tanzanian courts.
