Day-by-Day Itinerary
Early pickup from your Zanzibar hotel for the morning flight to Arusha. Your guide meets you at the airport for the 2-hour drive to Tarangire National Park — "Home of Giants". Spend the late morning and afternoon exploring the ancient Baobab landscapes and tracking elephant herds along the Tarangire River. Retire to your luxury escarpment lodge in Karatu for dinner.

Early breakfast before driving to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend 600 metres into the world's largest intact volcanic caldera for a 6-hour game drive in this UNESCO World Heritage Site — your best chance to spot the rare Black Rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch at Ngoitoktok Hippo Lake, then ascend the crater walls and return to your lodge.
